2022-23 Program Year Kickoff!

Welcome to the 2022-23 Migrant Education Program (MEP) Kickoff Celebration! This is a time to acknowledge your hard work and resilience in the face of adversity; to celebrate your successes with students and families in the past year; and looking forward to the program year ahead with high hopes and expectations working with our students and families armed with a new Service Delivery Plan (SDP)! Joining us at this kickoff are Deputy Commissioner Jason Harmon and Director Erica Meaker, both advocates and leaders from the State Education Department (SED). Please join us, together as a team, at this event with colleagues and friends from SED, ID&R-TASC, and the eight regional METS program centers to celebrate the start of the 2022-23 program year!

Goal Setting with Adolescent Students

(2022) This interactive one-hour discussion provides an opportunity to hear from a panel of three Migrant Educators from various METS. They will share about their experiences working with adolescent students as they help them to think about their hopes, dreams, and goals. A variety of strategies and prompts will be provided to workshop participants, helping them to engage in future goal-setting work with their adolescent students. After the panel presentations, participants will have an opportunity to discuss challenges and new ideas in a community of their peers.
