Notes for Summer Prep: Summer math resources for use with students who just completed Kindergarten in May or June. The documents described here can be downloaded under “Book Resource Files” below. It is recommended to select one color to print all of the resources for Kindergarten with and to select other colors for the other grade bands. The suggested color for Kindergarten is pink, but use the colors available to the METS.
Educator Guide for Kindergarten: Provides the Educator with the overall organization and coding of resources along with Kindergarten-specific summer math objectives and general directions about using the math activities with Kindergarten students. The Educator Guide includes ideas for expanding the use of these resources throughout one week.
Units 1- 5: Educator and Student Packets: Each Unit has an Educator Packet and a Student Packet. The Educator Packets provide specific directions and answer keys for the Unit. The Student Packets have the student response pages and game boards. Note: Many of the student pages have the Spanish translation on the same page as the English, so both languages are in one Student Packet.

Math Lessons: Kindergarten has three math lessons from the Math Matters curriculum that Educators can use if they identify skill areas that individual students need additional instruction. (The Educator Guide has more details.)
Summer Assessments: In Kindergarten, the pre- and post-test is a script that the Educator reads and records the student’s responses on. The student uses manipulatives and number cards to demonstrate the skills.
MASTER Copy: This has everything for Kindergarten in one download, starting with the Educator Guide and ending with the post-test.
