Professional Development/Events

Throughout the year, the NYS-MEP collaborates with outside agencies, as well as experts within the MEP to provide Professional Development (PD) workshops that are intentionally geared towards Migrant Educators and staff. By way of newsletters and the NYS-MEP website, training opportunities provided by various community and state partners are promoted, such as:

eTeachNY - A coalition of education partners who have come together to support the implementation of the Teaching in Remote Learning Environments (TRLE) Initiative. Educators can register, free of charge for asynchronous recorded PD and/or synchronous learning opportunities listed on the main PD Calendar & News page.  Find out more!

Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBERN) - Technical assistance support centers that aim to establish regionally-based resources for the improvement of instructional programs and practices for ELLs.  Read more!
