The Bassett Healthcare Network - New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH) is located in Cooperstown, NY. Their mission is enhancing agricultural and rural health by preventing and treating occupational injury and illness.
NYCAMH’s Farmworker Education handouts are good to use with all OSY students, but especially with those OSY students who are not able to meet during a regular class time. Migrant Educators can explain one of the handouts in five minutes.
The Farmworker Education handouts contain a variety of health and safety information that is useful for workers at a dairy farm, a cash-crop farm, or in a packinghouse. Migrant Educators can select the topics that best fit their students’ individual needs.
New and Revised: Since 2016, NYCAMH has added new titles and updated the design of many existing Farmworker Education handouts.
