Description

This interactive session will cover advanced settings and topics when creating and working in a Google Classroom. Topics covered include customizing your classroom header, creating and using rubrics, adding and using comments with the comment bank, and activating, running, and interpreting originality reports.

  • The Google Classroom invitation and Zoom meeting information will be emailed to those who register before the event.
  • Any special instructions or handouts will be included in the email as well.
  • Support for accessing the Google Classroom that we will use during the workshop is available during the hour prior to when the workshop starts (12pm-1pm).
  • This workshop will be recorded.

Levi Meyer, Computer Education Specialist
Levi has a broad range of experience in education, ranging from teaching at a kinesthetic focused pre-school to directing high school musical productions. Most recently, he taught 5th and 6th grade for six years in the Hannibal Central School District. He has been in his current position for a year and a half. Much of this time has been spent focusing on Google Workspace for Education. Levi is currently a Level 1 Google Certified Educator.

Peri Nelson-Sukert, Computer Education Specialist
Peri has been working at CiTi BOCES since 2009, assisting educators in Oswego County with educational technology. She has a love for teaching science as well as various parts of medieval history and types of art. Peri has spent much time training people to use various aspects of Google and is currently a Level 1 and Level 2 Google Certified Educator.

Stephanie Maturo, Director of Instructional Technology
Stephanie has been working at CiTi BOCES since 2017 as the Director of Instructional Technology. Stephanie taught elementary and middle school students with a passion for technology and innovative learning. This passion guided her to her current role in supporting instructional technology and innovation in digital and virtual learning with her Model Schools team of educators.
