The expanded lessons provide more content instruction and practice of ELA skills, in addition to test-taking skills. Each lesson has a Student handout and its own Educator Guide with answers and advice embedded into the individual student lesson. These materials are intended to help you prepare a student to take the NYS Common Core English Language Arts Regents Exam.

Facilitator Guide: This Facilitator Guide provides general information about the ELA Regents Exam and lists which handouts and other supplies you will need for each the lesson. Additionally the Facilitator Guide explains how to access and use the articles from the https://newsela.com website that are written on multiple reading levels, and several are translated to Spanish.
Educator Key Handouts: For each of the Expanded Lessons, the “Educator KEY” copy follows the student lesson, but has all of the answers and supporting information for the educator to use.
Student Handouts: Each lesson has its own student handout with information, examples, and exercises for the student to practice.

Found by scrolling to the bottom of the Bilingual Glossaries, this Guide provides a definition and example for each term, in a bilingual format, with the terms in English and the target Language. MASTER SET
The MASTER Set is split into two Files. The Facilitator Guide and all of the handouts for Lessons 1-3 are in one “MASTER” file. All of the handouts for Lessons 4-6 are in the other “MASTER” file.
