Description

The New York State Migrant Education Program connects for meetings and professional development using Zoom. Zoom video conferencing is web-based, has integrated video and audio capability which works in conjunction with your own hardware, and allows for screen sharing. You do not need to have an account, but you can join using a link sent via invitation. See and talk to your colleagues across the state without leaving your office!

During the workshop, we will show a short video about joining a Zoom meeting following with participants practicing. Next, we will explore how to navigate basic features of Zoom, how one should prepare for a meeting, and what active participation looks and sounds like in the virtual setting. The workshop concludes with a conversation about the current practices of NYS-MEP for workshop/meeting registration and evaluation processes, as well as a tour of the NYS-MEP website.

The content in this presentation is geared towards serving the migrant populations in New York State as defined under Title I, Part C and the approved State Service Delivery Plan, and may NOT be appropriate to all situations.
