Workshop Description

In this webinar, Tim Wilson will review Regents Prep materials he developed for Migrant Educators and students based on current Regents exams. The webinar will provide an opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with the exam and the preparation materials.

Objectives/Learning Targets: 

Review the structure and format of the Algebra I Regents exam.
Introduce the prep materials to teach key skills and concepts students need to understand Algebra I

Timothy Wilson, Math Teacher at East Upper School, Rochester, NY.

Tim developed math curriculum for use by ELL students with the National PASS program. He is the author of Math 6, Math on the Move, and TAKS (Texas) Exit-Level Math Review.

Additional Information

Please print the two Sample Lessons, to follow along as Tim demonstrates using the graphing calculator with the lessons. Optional: You can print the TI-84 Plus handout if you want to study this calculator during the demonstration. (some have been ordered for staff to use) If you already have a TI-84 Plus graphing calculator, you can use it to follow along.
