ECA Refresher (Updated June 2024)

AUDIENCE 

METS staff who have given the ECA in the last year or two and have the potential to provide regular, meaningful instruction with the P3-P-5 students, again, this year.

Preview the new fillable options for the ECA’s Student Response Sheet, and then take a hop, skip, and a jump through the ECA Guidance Document, refreshing your memory about what props you need, the questions Educators ask, and the scoring criteria used. Mary Anne Diaz, Senior Education Specialist

Initially hired as a part-time tutor in 1983 with the Cortland program center, Mary Anne has worked in a variety of roles: tutor, Data Specialist, Early Childhood and Parent Specialist, Interim Director, and collaborating with HIPPY and multiple Even Start grants through the Geneseo Migrant Center. Mary Anne has participated with national Consortium Incentive Grants, from computer training in 1984 to a decade with the Math Consortium, and one year with the OSY Consortium. She currently works with the ID&R-TASC program center through SUNY Oneonta. Mary Anne has a B.S. in Elementary Education and M.S. in Reading.
