Description
To provide quality learning tools to migratory students, the iSOSY Student Portal & Technology group has developed a web-responsive student portal that offers 24/7 access to materials, resources, and support for students. Participants in this workshop will enjoy an overview and walkthrough of the portal and tour the updates made after several states piloted its use and offered feedback.
A few student portal highlights that we will discuss are:
- iSOSY lessons and tools revised to add activities via interactive platforms like Kahoot, Flip, EdPuzzle, etc.
- Video affidavits from real students (in both English and Spanish) who share their success stories- an effort to encourage their peers to use the materials that have helped them.
- Information about live lesson events for students
- A lesson archive via the Videos page
The content in this presentation is geared towards serving the migrant populations in New York State as defined under Title I, Part C and the approved State Service Delivery Plan, and may NOT be appropriate to all situations.
Please refer to the disclaimers page, which includes the vendor notice, Google™ Translate disclaimer, and nondiscrimination and accessibility policy, before proceeding further.
