Description

This training is open to all MEP staff. We welcome you to join us on December 15th as we cover all standard operating procedures for keeping migrant student data secure. We will discuss: 

• Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
• The three C's of Security: secure Conduct, secure Computers, and secure Communication
• Encryption tools
• MSIX

Additionally, we will discuss how MSIX can help migratory students stay on track with their academic work as they move between schools and states, providing tips about access and use.

The content in this presentation is geared towards serving the migrant populations in New York State as defined under Title I, Part C and the approved State Service Delivery Plan, and may NOT be appropriate to all situations.
